Roman Abramovich believes Chelsea have finally landed Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone after transfer ban – report

Roman Abramovich believes that Chelsea can land Diego Simeone this summer after Atletico Madrid were hit with a transfer ban, according to reports.

The Russian owner has made the Argentine coach his top target to replace Guus Hiddink at the end of the season.

And the ban has increased the chance of Simeone moving to Stamford Bridge, according to the Mirror.

Both Atletico and Real Madrid were punished by Fifa and handed a transfer ban for the next two windows.

Simeone would embrace a move to the Premier League, should the ban remain in force.
